Lord Leighton
Noble crimson
Bright red with a whisper of blue-violet infused in gold and with a prismatic blazing hologram.
In 1878, Lord Frederic Leighton reached the pinnacle of his profession when he became the president of the Royal Academy of Arts. In his subsequent self-portrait, Leighton appears as the epitome of the Victorian gentleman artist: an imposing figure in a sumptuous crimson silk robe with the golden medal tucked in the front.
